The Calder Cup Finals are set.
With their 4-3 win over the Colorado Eagles on Monday night, the Chicago Wolves punched their ticket to the Calder Cup Finals against the Toronto Marlies.
It was a tight game to the finish as the Eagles managed to overcome a two-goal deficit in the third period, before Ryan Suzuki — brother of Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki — scored unassisted to restore the lead for the Wolves.
Ivan Ryabkin added an insurance marker for the Wolves, which proved important after forward Jayson Megna potted one late to bring the Eagles within one.
Bradley Nadeau and former Edmonton Oiler Noah Philp also scored for the Wolves, while Wyatt Amodt and Jason Polin scored the first two for the Eagles.
The Wolves' NHL affiliate, the Carolina Hurricanes, is gearing up for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final.
The Marlies earned their way to the Finals on Sunday with a Game 6 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
